The Problem with our Society

Do you want to know what the problem with our society is? If you don't want to know you better stop reading now. The problem is that in public we are forced to turn a blind eye to things-let me use an incident that took place on a bus this evening to illustrate this point...A guy gets on the bus with a grocery sack full of close to 20pill bottles. They appeared to be some sort of pain reliever. He moves to the back of the bus and proceeds to pop pills as though they are candy. I was very uncomfortable with this so I pulled the string to get off at the first stop on the bus route. As I'm getting off I tell the bus driver there is a guy popping pills at the back of the bus. Of course he walks back there, but the reality...on public tansportation they can do nothing in a case like this until the guy overdoses and either has to be life flighted to the ER to have his stomach pumped or until the guy takes his life. I ended up having to wait for another hour for the next bus-turning my two hour commute into four. I have never wanted a car more than I do tonight!

Follow the Chadron Bus....they aren't from Utah either!

Last night when I was coming home from Salt Lake I managed to take two wrong exits before getting off on the exit that Chadron State's team bus was taking. As it turns out-when one is in doubt she should follow the Nebraska bus in Utah! I'm convinced if Chadron State hadn't been on the road last night I would have taken another wrong exit. :)

If I had my car already, I would be hard pressed to convince myself that my Physics book is in need of my attention! The day is gorgeous and I can hear the mountains calling my name...Physics book-you win today, but in the future I make no promise! :)
