In the mirror I see...the windows of my soul looking back at me.
What secrets they must hold and yet....they cannot hide my joy, my pain, or my sorrow.

Lessons of Life
Life is ever changing....yet many lessons I find myself receiving lately I have heard once or twice before. Apparently those lessons haven't always stuck with me and that is why I'm experiencing them again. :) Over the last month or so I've tried to be better at studying my scriptures daily and putting things in my life more in line with the gospel. As I've studied my scriptures more regularly and started back running I've noticed more of a balance in my life. I feel much more peace and joy day to day.
Sunday I not only felt peace, but the love of my Father in Heaven. The lessons were just what I needed to hear and I felt I learned so much from them. In Sacrament Meeting a new councilor was called to the Branch Presidency....as JR was called to be the bishop of Second Ward last week. As President Burbank, Brother King, and Brother Danby all shared their testimonies I felt the love they have for each of the YA in the branch. They truly are the Lord's servants and I'm grateful to be under their watchful care! :)
Towards the end of Sacrament meeting I felt impressed to stand and share my testimony. It had been a long time since I had stood up to share my testimony in Sacrament Meeting. I'm so glad I shared it this last week. I was overcome by the love of my Farther in Heaven and the love of my Savior for me that day.
After sacrament meeting Brother King came over and gave me a big hug. He told me that I needed that and that if I ever needed anything that all I needed to do was to ask him. :) I love Brother King! Earlier that day he had smiled and shook my hand and told me how great I looked and told me I always look great. He makes me smile. :)
Life is good and I can't complain. I'm grateful I'm here in Jackson....the Lord really knew what He was doing when He impressed upon my mind the need for me to be here after I graduated college last Spring. I've learned a lot of hard lessons, but also a lot of necessary and good ones too. I've never felt the love of my Heavenly Father more than what I have the last little bit. I've come to realize I still have things to learn and some healing to do.
I'm working on finding myself again. I'm enjoying the single life and have decided to keep the men folk at a distance for now..... though I wouldn't turn down a date, or the opportunity to get to know a great guy should one happen to cross my path. :)

Trail Running
Trail runs have become a favorite past time of mine again! Chelsea took this picture the other day when we had gone out running. I love the trails up Cache Creek. They are beautiful and extremely peaceful. I ran about 80 minutes up there, before work today, and throughly enjoyed myself. When I'm out there running I often feel closer to the Lord.
