Look Who Came to Visit Me at Work!

Isn't he cute?! Just about this time every year a mother moose comes through town with her babies. She often tries to loose them as she weaves in and out of the cabins at Cowboy Village. She was successful this year...this baby was content to snack on the willow shrubs and his mom was long gone by the time he'd gotten his fill. I got within about ten yards of him.

Who Needs a Mechanic?

I've become quite the mechanic and I'm here to tell you my secret. I had a check engine light on in my car for months....the thermostat was out in it. Today while I was coming back from the trails that I had been running on I hit a big pot hole going about 25 mph. Low and behold I looked down thinking that probably wasn't good, but that check engine light was no longer on. :) Problem fixed! I checked my heater and it seemed to blow hot air again...but that could have been because I had just finished running and was already hot. Lol

Drunk Encounter: While on Night Call

I met an honest drunk last night.....I was on night call and recieved a noise complaint. I went over to tell the guys to keep the noise down. They were drunk and one of them kept telling me, "You're hot as Hell." :) Lol

Moose On The Trail!

While out running this morning I ran up on a moose! Not literally. I saw him before I stepped on him. Actually it was probably a good thing I saw him eating his breakfast fifty yards from me on the trail and that I didn't have to cross directly in front of or behind him. There was a side trail near by that I was able to skirt up and around him....putting a few trees between him and I. It was a little scary....well at least I had scary thoughts. :) My coworker Matt once told me a story about a friend of his that got charged by a moose...not once...but twice in the same day. As I ran on the upper trail and looked at the moose through the trees I prayed he was content with his breakfast and that he wouldn't charge me. My prayer was answered. That moose continued to eat and I got back to my car in one piece this morning. :)

What's So Funny?

Last night I laughed so hard I cried! What started me laughing was funny, but it wasn't that funny....in the end it was the sound of my own laugh that kept me laughing. :) I love a good laugh and I was long over-due for a good one last night.

During my laughing spell I caught myself wondering, "What if I develop some rare medical condition, while no one else is here, and I can't stop laughing?" Then I wondered, "Have there ever been such cases in the past?" And then I thought: "I'm bound to be the first!" :):):)
