Love is a Journey

Five years a couple of children, two story house
We used to think we had love figured out
But how could we see all that love would take us through
We've tasted bitter and sweet and learned this simple truth

Love is a Journey not a destination up ahead
Love like a tapestry is woven thread by thread
Love is a harbor where ships can safely rest
And sometimes love's a stormy sea that puts you to the test
Love like a precious soil, must constantly be tilled
Then love can be a wondrous garden where your heart is filled
Love is a journey you can make it what you will

Always thought once love was in motion it moved on its own
But love doesn't live on memories alone
Love needs attention love needs to be renewed
The more you give to love the more love gives to you
