Nothing Beats a Twenty Mile Day Hike: On One's Day Off

The first place we stopped was at Holly Lake....if you don't count the huckleberries we were picking and eating all along the trail. :) We climbed about 2500 feet from String Lake and had hiked about seven miles to reach Holly Lake. It was a great lake to take a swim and we did just that. :)
This picture was taken up on top of the Paintbrush Divide at over 10,000 feet.
As we began our decent from the divide down into Lake Solitude.
This was taken before we hit the canyon floor and lake Solitude.
The wildflowers were absolutely beautiful the whole way and I'd be lying if I said they didn't take my breath away. :)
Lake Solitude were we stopped for one final swim. The water was much colder here than it was up at Holly Lake.
Matt over-looking Jenny Lake-about three miles from the end of our twenty mile day hike.

WOW Kim I love the pictures! Looks like you had a great day. Well for me it would be great except for the 20 miler. It looks like you saw some beautiful country and I know how you feel about wild flowers so those were an extra bonus.

It's beautiful up there, Kim! I've never been up that way before, that's for sure. I've never even heard of Holly Lake before. I'm glad you are able to show pictures, so I could see it.
