Spinderella 2014

My first century ride began at 6:00AM on June 21st.

It was a long and gruelling event! It took me about 7hrs. to complete my first century ride.

If this picture was taken somewhere between mile 75-99 I was thinking...."Why didn't I choose to ride the 70? This sucks! Whoever said this was fun? And I think, this is going to be my first and my last century ride."

At mile 91 I stopped at the last water station. I grabbed a couple of vanilla wafers and as I was feeding my face I went to get back on my bike to finish the last 9 miles and I completely fell over. I threw my bike off me...I was exhausted! A medical guy came over asked me if I was okay and then helped me get my chain back on my bike. When I crossed that finish line that day I was so happy! About an hour later I was thinking, "That was fun! I'm totally going to do ride more centuries and if I'm around next summer I'll ride Spinderella again!"
